March is Women’s History Month in the US, and what a great way to incorporate all the research writing standards for SECOND and THIRD Grade. There is so many options with the Women’s History Month Activities Pack.

Women’s History 2nd Grade
At our school, the Media Specialist always taught a lesson on research in the library and this was the perfect way to collaborate! Each student picks a different woman to research and uses the flipbook to gather information. They always got into the research and found so many interesting facts. I have multiple research options that I would take for a grade. I loved using the vocab word “illustrate” so they could get used to it! Check out the whole unit here.

Women’s History Research Project
I love encouraging the students to get to know their influencer and celebrate her! They loved finding famous quotes and fun facts! I added extra printables that practiced ELA skills, like ABC Order and Grammar practice, for morning work or small group reading time. I always kept a stack of the “Ticket Out the Door” handout available on my desk. They are perfect to grab and have the students complete, especially if you’re being observed!😆 This unit is packed full of great ideas!
